From May 12th to 14th, the Farringdon branch of Vivat Bacchus is hosting their first South African Wine Festival to coincide with the London International Wine Fair at Excel. The team are inviting connoisseurs and novices alike to join them for dinner, tastings and to chat with the visiting wine makers. It’s a great chance to taste some of the best wines from the Cape and to meet people who are working to improve the quality and image of South African wine, making it one of the lead wine producing areas of the world.
Over three nights, the restaurant will host tastings (priced at £15 per head) in the wine room with guests like Paul Cluver, Paul Boutinot (Waterkloof), Gyles Webb (Thelema), Rollo Gabb (Journey's End), and many more. Those who book for dinner (£59) will enjoy a five course meal created by Chef Stuart Ferguson, with each dish designed to match the featured wines. For full details, check out the Wine Club page on their website.
