Tweat Up and British St Food present Street Food Europe, two days of fantastic food from quirky trucks and trailers hand-picked from across the continent. On September 28th and 29th, Dalston Yard will welcome street vendors that have never been seen before in London.
Get ready for tacos from Stockholm, kässpatzen from Berlin, low county soups from Amsterdam, and gourmet toasties from Brussels. There are rumours of Paris-Brest milkshakes from France and offal from Italy, all washed down with craft beer and festival cocktails.
It’s a great way to taste some of Europe’s finest street food, without the trauma of a budget airline flight. Once you’ve eaten your way around the vintage vans and trailers, you can vote for your favourites and the winners will be crowned European champion.
The European contingent will be backed up by home-grown talent like Big Apple Hot Dogs, Street Kitchen, and Manjit’s Kitchen. The winners of last year’s British Street Food awards, Ginger’s Comfort Emporium, will also be in attendance, alongside a cake-making caravan from Kent, sushi from Dorset, and snow cones from 13-year-old Stan, Britain’s youngest street food trader. Look out for The Rib Man who will be unveiling a new bourbon-spiked barbecue sauce.
There will be added extras like things to buy, music, artisan ice lollies and a horse box that bakes bread on site. Early bird tickets are on sale now for just £6, including a pint of Meantime beer and an Aperol spritz, so book fast and bag yourself a bargain!
